Lets Talk Hobbies!

“I know…..painting!” Ok who knows if he actually said that lol. Many people have turned their hobbies into a very successful career, while others choose to just do it for fun. A hobby is a place to escape, a destination that takes you far away from all of the drama at work, or school. It is sometimes the best therapy that a person can have. But enough of this philosophical nonsense, you all came here to see what our hobbies are! Maybe some of you didn’t, but too bad, so sad!

 Let’s start with Harrison’s hobbies! Those who know me personally already see that one of my favorite things is…...POKÉMON! I first started playing Pokémon on the Gameboy Color when I was 12 years old (much like a lot of people my age) and then started purchasing the trading card game shortly after. I still remember waiting for every weekend to come when I would receive my weekly allowance.Then I would proceed to hop on my bike and ride it down to the gas station so I could buy 1 or 2 booster packs. I joined the Pokémon League at the local gaming store and spent my Sundays there learning how to perfect my decks and learn different play styles. I worked for my friend for a brief period one summer at her card store that she opened up and I expanded my horizons by learning a bit more about Magic The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh. Although I like all three of these amazing card games, Pokémon will always be my number one go-to. Growing up with the Pokémon TCG has been so incredible, it is fun to see all of the changes that the game has gone through. I don’t play professionally but I have learned to build my decks in a competitive way so that I can take on a variety of opponents. I would very much like to share my deck ideas and get feedback too, let me know in the comments if you would like to see something like that!  Now onto Jamie’s hobby! Who doesn’t love a nice, clean, shiny vehicle? Jamie is extremely passionate about the visual aesthetic of one of the most important tools that people use every day. Car has a scratch on it? Spilled pop and melted candy bars seeping into your rugs? Jamie has the right tools for the job! Jamie first started cleaning cars when he lived in Ontario (long before he moved to Alberta and met me) and has become a well known expert in the Edmonton area.

Jamie is a big believer in quality over quantity, so his methods take a little bit of extra time, but boy is it ever worth the wait! He uses a variety of different products in order to get a car from its offroad look to a showroom superstar!
